I stayed over night in Edmonton after seeing the world's largest western boot and the next day we decided to take a detour home and stop in Vegreville, Alberta. Ok so it really wasn't a detour, it really was out of the way by like an hour, actually I think more. But I am very convincing and I think in the end it was really worth it lol :) Just an fyi there is nothing between Edmonton and Vegreville and when I say nothing I mean absolutely nothing. It is one of the most boringest drives ever. Now that I've sold that trip it really is kinda cool once you get there. Now when I saw that these things are kinda cool, I mean cool for a world's largest thing. It is on the far side of town...if you are coming from Edmonton, on the north side of Highway 16A, in Elk's Park. It is 25.7 feet wide, 18.3 feet high, and weighs 5000 lbs. It was made out of 3500 pieces of aluminum. It was designed by a guy named Ron Resch who I assume built it too.
